I am currently working as an Instructional Integration Advisor for the West Shore School District. I work with teachers and students in three elementary schools. I am responsible for helping teachers to integrate technology effectively across all curricular areas. I provide the teachers with professional development opportunities in order to share new technology tools, tips for planning, and examples of best practices. I offer workshops throughout the school year as well as during the summer. I model lessons for teachers that involve technology, co-teach some lessons and offer technical support while teachers are instructing independently. I organize and facilitate many national and international projects that connect classrooms for collaboration.
I taught second grade for ten years before moving into my current position three years ago. I earned an Elementary Education Bachelor Degree and a Master's of Reading/Reading Specialist Certificate from Shippensburg University and I am currently completing the courses need for my Instructional Technology Specialist Certificate from Clarion University. I am passionate about infusing technology into education, allowing students to become creators and finding ways for students and teachers to connect with classes around the world.
